This artwork was showcased at NALU's fashion pop-up on Melrose Avenue, in October 2023.
NALU's primary objective is to enhance the lives of underprivileged children in India by providing them with school uniforms, which in turn enables the pursuit of education.
Artwork Description:
Needles Eye looks to establish a connection between personal growth and new beginnings. A visual reminder that acts of generosity, regardless of the form, can bring about powerful positive change.
An active decision was made to rotate the canvas several times during the process of its creation. This provided a sense of depth to each viewpoint encouraging the observer to contemplate their path.

This trip overseas lasted just over two weeks and was one of the most joyous yet taxing times I've experienced in 2023, I'm very grateful that my work had got me to this point yet the responsibilities and challenges floating above my shoulders had hit a new high.
This palpable progression was at its highest when painting ''needles eye' my health for one was low, and I frequently had to sit and look at the work for fear of passing out from a sudden illness, as the sensation passed I would arise again and continue the painting process. five hours onwards and I'd finished the majority of the work.
The next day I completed the piece and before I knew it the event was underway. with a variety of thoughtful feedback and a strong interest in both the work and the clothing by Nalu, the event was considered a great success.
The artwork mentioned remains at the same venue and is available for private viewings (book through contact page) until July 2024.
